“I wish more instructors at this University used the classroom approach that Mr. Laughlin uses. He encourages respectful behavior – attendance, no talking, no food/drinks, no cell phones, beepers, etc. This should be a requirement of all classroom situations. It is a pretty pathetic that there are some classes at this University where the instructor exhibits little or no classroom management – i.e. allows disruptive students and behaviors to essentially “run” the classroom. I like that Mr. Laughlin had command of his class. I looked forward to coming because I knew I would be able to learn effectively. Keep up the strictness Mr. Laughlin!! Some students really appreciate it – you should give a faculty workshop on this – maybe some could learn from you.”

While he is in class he presents the material very well and has actually helped me in several ways, even with theory. Mr. Laughlin is very efficient with blackboard and is the only teacher I have that knows how to use it. All of the material covered by him has been very thorough and well prepared.”
